An amazing group of old colleagues from the Bergen area are keeping up for about 40 years to arrange programs together. What an honour that after Tuscany, Provence and Sicily they arranged their 4th international cycling tour in Hungary! We had such a great time!
Isn’t it amazing to see that complete strangers become friends? That a group becomes a team? Cycling, beaching, eating specialties, drinking good wines, visiting beautiful places are all fun even alone. But enjoying them with a funny company is just epic.
5 days of nice weather, easy riding, beautiful beaches, stunning views, delicious foods, cold beers, excellent wines and much much fun. And all of these in an awesome company of lovely people from America, Austria and Hungary. This tour was really epic!
We still had 55 km for the last day and sailing was the cherry on the cake at the end of the tour. We will return next year for sure!
Our day was so busy that we had no time for the beach. Two castles, hiking, underground lake, wine tasting and dance party.
We had an easy 45 km to Keszthely and made an excursion to the thermal lake of Hévíz.
This year’s tour started in a very hot weather. So we were obliged to make frequent stops for beaches, beer, ice cream and some poetry. And we were busy in the evening as well.
The weather became nice and sunny again, so we had a great time riding the last 55 km around the lake. And at the end we enjoyed the well deserved sailing.
